Occupational Therapist (OT) - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days)
Location: Purcell, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL (Activities of Daily Living) physical functioning disorders.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices.
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly; evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services as needed.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members about patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Document all required information accurately in electronic systems and maintain patient records according to policy.
- Record treatment minutes in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings.
- Attend facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences.
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as needed.
- Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
- Adhere to NBCOT and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year.
- Experience in Long Term Care settings.
- Experience in Rehabilitation settings.
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
- Must comply with submission requirements and rate guidelines.
- Workday is 8 hours with day shift schedule.
