Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights)
Location: Sioux City, IA
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Care for general medical/surgical post-op patients requiring overnight stays.
- Floating within the same discipline across local campuses is required.
- Work night shifts, 12 hours per day.
- Patient ratio approximately 1:5.
- Use of EPIC electronic medical record system preferred.
Schedule & Hours
- 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
- 48 hours per week; overtime billable after 48 hours.
- Night shift with 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed.
- BLS certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
- Driver’s license required.
- Must not have been employed by this health system in the last 12 months.
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
- License verification and copy of required certifications.
- One supervisory reference required at time of submission.
- Work history/resume required.
- Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
Additional Information
- Orientation schedule provided.
- OT/Holiday pay multiplier: 1.15x.
- Call back pay multiplier: 1.5x with a 2-hour minimum.
- On-call pay available.
- Charge/preceptor pay available.
