Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Frisco, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Labor and Delivery
- Number of Beds: 13 plus 2 triage and 2 OR
- Number of Staff: 34
- Staff on Day Shift: 1 CNC, 1 CST, 3-5 RNs (depending on census)
- Staff on Night Shift: 1 CNC, 1 CST, 3-5 RNs (depending on census)
- Patient Ratios: Usually 1:2 or 1:1
- Equipment: GE EFM’s
- EMR Systems: CPN and Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- AWHONN certification
- Scrub capability
- Charge nurse experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrub capability

- Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC)
Work Schedule & Environment
- Hours per week: 36
- Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
- On-call Requirement: 1 on-call shift per schedule
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
- Personality Fit: Upbeat and positive
