Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment
Location: Elko, Nevada
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Job Summary
Provide nursing care in an acute care setting with a focus on Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics. The unit has 23 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5 and serves pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend hours variable
- Call requirements as per contract
- Potential to float to other departments based on patient census and needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Unit & Equipment
- Acute Care Services floor
- Equipment includes Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Telemetry Monitoring system
- Electronic Health Record system: MEDHOST
Patient Population & Common Diagnoses
- Patient populations: Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric
- Common conditions: COPD, CHF, Pre/Post Cath Lab care, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Acute Respiratory Failure (Adult & Pediatrics)

- Fit testing provided on-site
- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
- Weekly orientations provided
- No mandatory scrub color; scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Local community offers outdoor recreational activities and cultural events
