Description
Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel)
Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours guaranteed (candidate to specify preference)
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Unit & Patient Population
- Unit: Acute Rehabilitation
- Number of Beds: 13
- Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Neurological conditions, trauma, burns, gait training/strengthening, wound vac therapy
- Equipment: Lift equipment
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Meditech
- Float Requirements: May float to MedSurg as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience within the last year
- Acute care nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- Experience in MedSurg or Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) settings is a plus

Summary
This travel RN position in acute rehabilitation requires a minimum of 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in acute rehab or related acute care. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with neurological, trauma, and wound care needs. Candidates must meet strict onboarding requirements including background checks, certifications, drug screening, and immunization status. Weekend work is every other weekend with no call responsibilities. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
