Respiratory Therapist

Location

  • Portland, Maine

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Shift & Hours

  • Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Hours per week: 36

Facility Information

  • 70 licensed beds

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required
  • Maine State Respiratory Therapy licensure required
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Experience

  • First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Patient Care & Unit Information

  • Floating between NICU, Pediatrics, and Adult units possible (details discussed during interview)
  • Patient types and common diagnoses will be discussed during interview

Support & Resources

  • Respiratory Department Leadership available
  • Hospitalist coverage 24/7
  • Intensivist available for consult 24/7

Technology & Equipment

  • EMR system: Cerner
  • Pyxis medication dispensing system

Scheduling & Orientation

  • Weekend rotation required (details discussed during interview)
  • Call required (details discussed during interview)
  • Holiday work expected (details discussed during interview)
  • Return to Office (RTO) requires manager approval
  • Orientation length depends on candidate’s skillset and experience
