Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Telemetry

Location: Goldsboro, North Carolina

Job Summary

Provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients with complex medical-surgical and telemetry needs, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required.
• Assess patient and family readiness to learn; use appropriate patient education materials.
• Prioritize and organize care based on patient and family needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary resources for care planning and discharge preparation.
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and cost-effective care initiatives.
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
• Communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care and provide feedback to coworkers.
• Recognize and address cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care.
• Engage in professional growth activities and apply research findings to practice.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience.
• Education: Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Registered Nurse license valid in North Carolina.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing.
