CVOR Tech Position
Location
- Billings, Montana
Employment Type
- Clinical Non-Nursing (Contract)
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Variable 12-hour shifts
- Approximately 36 hours per week
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends required for some positions
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency
- May be required to be on-call during regularly scheduled shifts
Job Summary
- Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile supplies and sterile technique
- Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients
- Assemble, organize, and complete case carts according to surgeon’s preference
- Provide appropriate instrumentation, sutures, and supplies; maintain sterile environment
- Assist surgeon by passing instruments during cases
- Count sponges, needles, blades, and instruments using proper technique
- Assist in maintenance and care of specimens; prepare for laboratory analysis
- Handle specimens, implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps per policy and standards
- Assist with timely turnover of rooms including cleanup, restocking supplies and equipment
- Care for instruments and equipment
- Promote mission, vision, and values of the organization and abide by service behavior standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED or training in the U.S. military
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- Surgical Technologist experience
Certifications
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
