Description
Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health
Location: Terre Haute, Indiana
Shift: Nights (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- 19 beds
- Total unit staff: 45
- Night shift staffing includes 3 RNs and 2 Mental Health Technicians
- Patient ratio: 1 RN to 6-7 patients
- Equipment used includes wheelchairs, occasional cycler dialysis, and some wound vacs/dressings
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Job Responsibilities
- Blood glucose checks
- Medication administration
- Patient assessments and documentation
- Occasional dressing changes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior medical nursing experience
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
Additional Information
- Floating may include Medical/Surgical units
- Immediate start preferred (backfill position)
- Travel Behavioral Health Nurse role
- Candidates must be located more than 50 miles away from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
- Radius rule: candidates within 50-100 miles considered at a reduced rate (pay details excluded)
Hours
- 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
- Night shift only
