Description
Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) - Night Shift
Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Job Description
- Independently or in consultation with a physician, administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing related to the cardio-pulmonary system.
- Respond to arrest and emergency situations, providing CPR and life support.
- Perform respiratory care evaluations and treatments according to protocols.
- Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
- Respond immediately to Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways and performing cardiac compressions.
- Set up and maintain oxygen therapy according to protocol.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel work experience as a respiratory therapist.
Additional Information
- Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility will not be considered.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Epic.
- Facility offers 24-hour emergency care and Level II trauma care.
- Worksite is located on a 225-acre wooded campus.
