Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a Level III trauma center with a 10 OR suite facility.
- Support patients and surgeons with significant traumatic injuries, including basic laparoscopic to complex open abdominal and chest trauma surgeries.
- Patient population is diverse, covering all ages.
- Use Cerner EHR system.
- Patient ratio: 1:1.
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 4x10-hour shifts per week with variable call (4-5 shifts/month).
- Occasional weekend hours and call required.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year.
- Trauma experience.
- OB/GYN experience.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS issued by the American Heart Association.
Additional Information
- Rapid start required: must be able to start within 10 business days of offer acceptance.
- Unit has 10 operating rooms with varied equipment depending on specialty.
- Float requirements may apply.
- Patient care involves a wide range of surgical specialties including Urology, Neuro, General, GYN, Podiatry, Plastic, Orthopedics, Dental, and ENT.
