Description
Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room
Location
- Lee's Summit, Missouri
Employment Type
- Travel assignment
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 10-hour shifts
- One position: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Another position: 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- 2 to 6 days of on-call per month
Unit Details
- Surgery unit with 5 operating rooms
- Patient ratio: 1 RN to 1 patient
- Staffing includes 5-6 RNs, 6 techs, 1 anesthesia tech, and 1 OR analyst per day
- Standard OR equipment used
- Documentation system: Meditech
- No floating policy
- Hospital provides scrubs as the required uniform
Procedures Performed
- Orthopedic
- Spine
- Vascular (strong vascular skills preferred)
- General Surgery
- Colorectal
- Robotic surgery
- Gynecology (GYN)
- Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Education on hazardous drug risk management according to USP 800
- Experience with MEDITECH
