Description
Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 8-hour shift per 2 weeks)
Locals Accepted: No (candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility)
First Timers Accepted: Yes

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation equivalent)
Scheduling and Time Off
- Open to accommodating block schedules
- Time off requests approved on an individual basis upon offer and must be included in submittal
- On-call and weekend requirements: Not specified
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- E-Verify attestation required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
- Education verification required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- Immunizations and health documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series and/or positive titer or signed declination (Alaska placements require both positive titer and vaccine series)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention policies
- Respiratory safety clearance required for travel candidates (annual clearance)
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates (annual update)
Training and Competency
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Skills checklist required and must be updated annually
- Epic training modules required (facility-specific)
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates
- Float policy acknowledgment: May be required to float to other nearby facilities within reasonable distance

- Radiation badge issued by facility if applicable
- Background checks and other compliance documents have specific state and facility requirements, including fingerprinting for Alaska placements
