Registered Nurse (RN) Flex Pool - Nights
Location
- Hilo, Hawaii

- Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts (18:45 to 07:15)
- Scheduled 36 hours per week after first week of orientation
- No guarantee of hours
Job Description
- Float between various medical and surgical units including:
- Medical Unit (77 beds)
- Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute, 18 beds)
- Cardiovascular Unit (15 beds, rare occasions)
- Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Medical Unit: 1:6 (days and evenings), 1:8 (nights)
- Laulima Unit: 1:6
- Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
- Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves
- Use of equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
- Orientation provided for each unit
- Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Stepdown unit experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Dress Code
- Professional nursing attire; clean scrubs

- Prior travel experience is required for this position
