Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Nights)
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
- Orientation scheduled between June 8 and June 21.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa.
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Driver’s license.
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
- License verification and copy of required certifications.
- Work history/resume and one supervisory reference required at time of submission.
- Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
- First-time travelers are welcome.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with heparin drip.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
Additional Information
- Night shift with 12-hour shifts.
- Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply (not detailed here).
- Call back and on-call pay available (details excluded).
- Not eligible if employed by the same health system within the last 12 months.
