Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position
Location: Denver, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Information
- Setting: Rehab / Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy unit
- Unit Floor: 4th floor, Main building
- Patient Population: High-volume neuro population with early mobility initiatives in multiple ICUs
- Caseload: Approximately 150 patients regularly on OT caseload
- Staff: About 60 therapy staff (PT/OT/SLP) for acute services
- Shift: Day shift only (7:30 AM - 5 PM), flexible start time between 7-9 AM
- Equipment: General therapy equipment
- EMR System: Meditech
- Amenities: Free parking, on-site cafeteria/coffee shop
- Environment: Hospital located within a residential neighborhood
- Team Culture: Strong team camaraderie, emphasis on teamwork and support among OTs
Job Responsibilities
- Perform OT evaluations and treatments
- Conduct occasional cognitive evaluations
- Participate in early mobility initiatives in ICUs
- Maintain productivity expectations:
- 21 units in an 8-hour workday
- 26 units in a 10-hour workday (optional extended shift)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Colorado
- Occupational Therapist experience within the last year, minimum 0.5 years
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Additional Notes
- This is a travel assignment in a competitive market; flexibility and adaptability are valued
- No night shifts available; primarily day shift coverage
- Candidates without the minimum required hospital OT experience will not be considered
