Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location
- City: Kinston, North Carolina

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
- Every other week (EOW) / every other holiday (EOH)
- No call, no block scheduling
- No local travelers within a 50-mile radius
Unit Details
- Emergency Department with 34 beds
- Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
- Approximately 100 patient visits per day
- Includes triage area and telemetry
- May involve conscious sedation
- ED provider team includes MDs and PAs
- Use of Epic electronic health record and Pyxis medication system
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
