Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel)

Location

Lewiston, Maine
2nd largest city in Maine with access to outdoor recreational activities (skiing, fishing, hiking, kayaking)
Nearby attractions: 40 minutes to Portland, ME; 15 minutes to Lost Valley Ski Resort; 1 hour to Old Orchard Beach; 2.5 hours to Acadia National Park

Contract Details

Travel assignment
Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Four 9.5-hour shifts per week (07:00 - 16:30)
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call requirements: Call and float within the department (Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Services Pre/Post areas) approximately 15-18 days in a six-week schedule
No blocked scheduling

Department: Cardiovascular Invasive Services (Cath Lab)
Trauma Level III facility
Patient population: adult and geriatric
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Role: RN specializing in Cardiac Cath Lab
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, valid RN license
Years of experience required: 1-2 years in specialty
Must-have skills: Ability to scrub and circulate during procedures
Preferred skills: Circulate during procedures
Dress code: Scrub color provided (3 sets)

Float responsibilities include coverage within the department areas (Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Services Pre/Post)
Facility provides 24/7 Emergency Care, Cardiovascular Services, Cancer Care, Orthopedic Care, Women’s & Children’s Health, and Primary Care Services
Joint Commission accredited teaching hospital

Valid RN license in Maine
Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
