    MRI Technologist Travel/Contract Position

    Location: Santa Rosa, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Summary

    • Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures.
    • Preferably experienced in one or more of the following modalities: General Radiology, Angio/Cath Lab, Computed Tomography (CT).
    • Work in an acute care hospital setting.

    Required Experience

    • Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
    • MRI Technologist experience within the last year.
    • Experience as a Radiology Technologist.
    • Experience in one or more of the following modalities: Cath Lab, CT, or MRI.
    • Experience working in an acute care setting.

    Shift Details

    • Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:00 - 06:30).
    • Includes Saturday and Sunday shifts plus 1 variable shift during the week.
    • Rotating on-call and variable weekends.
    • Total hours per week: 36.

    Required Licenses and Certifications

    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Radiography certification OR
    • ARMRIT Certified MRI Technologist.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and motor vehicle report if applicable.
    • FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List checks as applicable.
    • Education verification required unless highest education is high school.
    • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to California law).
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance for work and any work restrictions documented.
    • TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually, with negative TB test or chest x-ray as required.
    • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or failed tests).
    • Immunizations and titers required: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years), Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination during flu season. Religious and medical exemptions considered with proper documentation.
    • Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and renewed annually.

    Additional Requirements

    • Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps over 30 days.
    • Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually.
    • Professional references: 2 for clinical/allied/per diem acute care candidates.
    • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, overpayment refund policy, and regulatory orientation prior to start.
    • Completion of any required competency exams or pass/fail testing as applicable.

    • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
