Description
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Call: Not required
Floating: As needed within scope
Job Requirements
- Start Date: ASAP
- EMR System: EPIC
- Block scheduling: Negotiable during interview
- Locals allowed: Yes
- Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Background and Compliance
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification with US equivalency documentation if education completed outside the US
- Two professional references completed within 1 year of start required
- Primary source verification of state license
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Annual TB questionnaire completion
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (3 doses or signed declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Additional Competencies and Documents
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exam required
- Photo for badge
- Completion of facility-specific confidentiality, crime disclosure, conflict of interest, and compliance documents
Experience
- Years of experience in specialty: Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Prior travel experience: Not required
