    Description

    Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

    Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Night shift, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
    Schedule: Every other weekend required
    Call: Not required
    Floating: As needed within scope


    Job Requirements

    • Start Date: ASAP
    • EMR System: EPIC
    • Block scheduling: Negotiable during interview
    • Locals allowed: Yes
    • Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)

    Required Certifications

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
    • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

    Background and Compliance

    • Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
    • Education verification with US equivalency documentation if education completed outside the US
    • Two professional references completed within 1 year of start required
    • Primary source verification of state license

    Health and Immunization Requirements

    • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
    • Annual TB questionnaire completion
    • Documentation of immunity or vaccination for:
      • Measles (Rubeola)
      • Mumps
      • Rubella
      • Varicella
      • Hepatitis B (3 doses or signed declination)
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
    • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

    Additional Competencies and Documents

    • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
    • Competency exam required
    • Photo for badge
    • Completion of facility-specific confidentiality, crime disclosure, conflict of interest, and compliance documents

    Experience

    • Years of experience in specialty: Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
    • Prior travel experience: Not required
