Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position
Location: Reno, Nevada
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across various therapy settings. Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and discharge planning focused on self-care activities, ADL skills, and community reintegration. May float between like facilities based on census and business needs.
Work Schedule
- Primary schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
- Some rotating days based on department needs
- May include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- Required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
- Call requirements to be discussed during interview
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Nevada
Additional Information
- May be required to float to other areas within competency level
- Employer reserves the right to cancel shifts with 48 hours’ notice due to low census (full or partial shifts)
- Per diem staff must work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day) and one minor holiday (New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) annually, or one day during the holiday week if the area is closed on major holidays
- Position involves direct patient care and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- May participate in program development and clinical outcome measurements
