Registered Nurse (ICU) - Ohio, Greenville
Job Overview
- Work in a rural community hospital ICU with 6 private beds.
- Unit functions as a high acuity step-down and low acuity ICU.
- Current COVID unit for the hospital.
- Patient types include MICU and SICU (medical and surgical ICU), excluding trauma cases.
- Common diagnoses: Sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal issues, surgical cases, respiratory problems.
- Expected to float to Telemetry-MedSurg unit.
- EMR system: CPSI-Evident.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2.
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7 AM to 7 PM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours).
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Holidays: Typically not required to work, depending on schedule and permanent staff availability.
- One shift of floor orientation provided.
- PPE supply adequate; N95 masks used for 24 hours then discarded.
- ECG exam required on first day.
- Must have experience in critical access hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks.
