Facility Overview
- High volume, high acuity Labor & Delivery unit with over 5,300 deliveries last year
- Level IV Maternal and Level IV Neonatal facility
- Accreta program targeting 90 cases this year
- OB Emergency Department staffed by Labor & Delivery team
- 4-bed Obstetric Operating Room and recovery area within the department
Staffing
- Total headcount: 123 staff
- Full-time equivalents (FTEs): 84.4
- 12 full-time contract labor staff supporting onboarding/training and seasonal volume (11 RNs, 1 CST)
- CNC team of 7 full-time CNCs with varying experience
Key Focus Areas for Interim Leader
- Support and guide the CNC team
- Maintain strong nursing retention
- Provide feedback to leadership on process improvement opportunities based on prior experience
Regulatory Environment
- Pending focused follow-up survey by The Joint Commission (TJC), currently under review for nearly 60 days
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification
- HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
This position is ideal for an experienced interim leader with a background in women’s and children’s health, particularly in high-acuity Labor & Delivery settings.
