Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU
Location: Winchester, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit & Facility Overview
- ICU with 10 beds
- Trauma Level III facility
- Patient population primarily adults (18+), with rare pediatric post-op patients
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
- Equipment includes Baxter pumps, GE bedside monitors, and Arjo beds
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Common diagnoses treated: COPD exacerbation, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), atrial fibrillation, pre/post heart catheterization, septic shock
Position Details
- Specialty: General Intensive Care
- Number of openings: 1
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Rotating/as needed
- Call requirements: Census dependent
- Float requirements: Census dependent
- Dress code: Any color scrubs; street clothes or apparel with outside hospital names are not allowed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Skills and experience in:
- Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Ventilator management
- Vasoactive drips
- Cardiac support
