Description
Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)
Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work primarily in Labor & Delivery with focus on C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and triage.
- Float across multiple campuses within the local area.
- Unit size: 24 beds, 2 operating rooms.
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2.
- Common drips include magnesium, insulin, and pitocin.
- Hospital-provided scrubs.
- Expected to work 36-40 hours per week with overtime after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
- Orientation provided.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
- NBSTSA certification.
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients.

- Employee separation policy restricts travel assignments within the market for certain past employees.
This position is ideal for experienced Certified Surgical Techs with Labor & Delivery expertise seeking a temporary night shift role with travel experience.
