Description
Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Job Description
- Assess patient needs using history, observation, physical exams, and diagnostic data.
- Provide age-specific nursing interventions aligned with care plans and standards of practice.
- Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
- Use appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
- Follow Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators and standard work practices.
- Precept and mentor novice employees to support department performance.
- Participate in hospital initiatives promoting Evidence Based Practices.
- Engage in professional growth through goal setting and educational opportunities.
- Float to assist other similar units as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Labor and Delivery experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Certification in CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Fit test for respiratory protection equipment is recommended within one year of start.
- Annual TB questionnaire and additional TB-related documentation may be required if applicable.
