Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech
Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Electrophysiology Radiology Tech)
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- No floating between units
- No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Radiology Tech with ARRT Radiology Tech Certification
- Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
Certifications (as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and unit (verify with credentialing)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification required
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Drug Screening: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only)
- Annual regulatory and facility-specific training modules required via LMS (Workramp)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination acceptable)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine during flu season (declination acceptable)
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
Additional Facility-Specific Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required prior to start
- Epic electronic health record training modules required for clinical staff
- Oregon Neglect Abuse Search and Consent Form required if assigned to certain pediatric facilities (not applicable here)
- Float Policy Acknowledgement required (may be asked to float to nearby facilities)

- This is a short-term acute care facility with 536 staffed beds and teaching hospital status
- Charting system used: Epic
- Parking is free for staff
