- 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Job Summary
- Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, including skin preparation and maintaining aseptic technique.
- Transport and position patients for surgery.
- Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the surgical case.
- Establish and maintain sterile field, pass instruments and sutures to the surgeon, and assist as directed.
- Use and update physician preference cards for case setup.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment, adhering to OR sanitation policies and universal precautions.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment care.
- Adapt patient care to meet physical, psychosocial, cultural, and developmental needs.
- Work effectively as part of the surgical team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of Neurosurgery experience
- Surgical Technologist experience
Additional Information
- Ability to proficiently scrub in multiple specialty areas (e.g., Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, Robotics) is highly preferred.
- Must maintain proper traffic control, dress codes, and OR sanitation policies.
- Familiarity with decontamination, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies is expected.
