MRI Technologist - Savannah, Georgia

Job Details

• Specialty: MRI Technologist
• Location: Savannah, Georgia
• Shift: Days (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with call rotation
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: 12–13 weeks (approximately 12 weeks)
• Equipment: GE 3T MRI scanner
• Workload: Approximately 32 patients per day, including all MRI studies such as cardiac MRI
• Systems Used: Meditech and Sectra PACS
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with peers, nurses, and radiologists

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient MRI experience
• Must have completed at least 1 successful prior travel contract
• ARRT certification in MRI required; ARMRIT certification may be considered if all other requirements are met
• Professional license valid in the state of practice (Georgia)
• BLS Certification
• Strong critical thinking skills with ability to scan accurately and efficiently, focusing on patient anatomy and working with a sense of urgency
• Ability to operate a simple patient lift after training
• Adherence to The Joint Commission (TJC) standards
• Punctual attendance and a positive, pleasant demeanor are mandatory

Additional Requirements for Submission

• Full availability including all requested time off (RTO)
• Start date aligned with compliance timelines
• Current references within the MRI specialty/modality
• Resume must include:

  • Number of beds and trauma level of all facilities worked at in the past 3 years
  • Employment type for each position (permanent/staff, travel, or PRN)
  • Description of job duties and average number of scans/cases per job in the last 2-3 years

Orientation & Onboarding

• Orientation starts weekly on Mondays (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday)
• Onboarding must be completed at least 7 calendar days prior to the start date

Candidate Policy

• Strict 100-mile radius rule: local candidates within 100 miles will not be accepted

Interview Process

• Clinical team conducts prescreen interviews
• Manager may conduct a second interview for recommended candidates
