Physical Therapist Assistant

Overview

• Outpatient setting
• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Implements the physical therapist’s plan of care for patients of all ages
• Provides treatment interventions such as therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health care providers
• Documents care and charges in the therapy EMR
• Coordinates with the physical therapist on patient treatment interventions
• Communicates with the referring provider about patient progress and treatment recommendations

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapy Assistant
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience

• Annual education may be required to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements, if applicable
