Description
MRI Technologist (Temporary) – New Lenox, IL
Job Summary
- Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages.
- Conduct assigned supervisory functions.
- Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as needed.
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide education and instructions.
- Adhere to MRI safety standards and department policies.
- Administer contrast media using age-appropriate technical and positioning protocols.
- Assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested.
- Evaluate MRI images for technical quality.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment, including warm-up, calibration, safety checks, and quality control.
- Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Use hospital computer systems for documentation and reporting.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an MRI Technologist.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Note: This position requires working night shifts and involves direct patient interaction in a hospital setting.
