Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Temp)
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Shift: Days
Hours per day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform all aspects of nuclear medicine patient exams at a technical level under general supervision to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, operating and maintaining nuclear imaging equipment, preparing and administering radioactive isotopes, ensuring radiation safety, completing quality assurance, and maintaining documentation. May assist other radiology areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- Certification by ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Information
- Must complete a skills checklist within one year of application (required for RN specialties; preferred for others)
- Michigan license verification required for nurses (not applicable here)
- Physical copies of certifications required only if listed above
- Dress code: Galaxy Blue Scrubs
- Facility uses Cerner EMR system

- Tertiary teaching hospital with 240 acute care beds
- Services include Level III Trauma Center/ED, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, cardiac programs, medical/surgical units, women and children’s health services including birthing center
- Located on a new healthcare campus near Michigan State University
