Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Wisconsin, Rice Lake

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), Monday to Friday
• Hours per Week: 30 hours
• Work Settings: Acute inpatient and outpatient
• Patient Load: 3 to 6 patients per day on average
• Coverage Areas: Both outpatient and inpatient care
• Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs (no specific color), closed-toe shoes required
• Orientation: Onsite orientation on day one with support from other SLPs as needed
• Timekeeping: All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Scheduling: No self-scheduling for outpatient; self-scheduling allowed for inpatient needs
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None

Patient Population and Common Diagnoses

• Dysphagia
• Video Swallow Studies
• Cognitive decline
• Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
• Parkinson’s disease

Required Qualifications

• License/Certification: BLS certification required
• Preferred Certification: CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of SLP experience recommended

Additional Information

• Treated as a locum position; credentialing process may take longer due to committee review
• Compliance packet must be submitted at least 2 Fridays before the committee meeting (held the third Monday of every month)
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and have a reduced rate
• Must note in submission if clinician has previously worked for this facility; if so, there must be a minimum 6-month gap since last employment

• SLP Manager available for support during orientation and as needed
