Job Description

• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis.
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team members while managing urgent or emergent situations.
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and physician’s medical plans.
• Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification following service excellence standards.
• Accurately document all care information in a timely manner.
• Use appropriate health and safety equipment, including duties within or outside the sterile field.
• Prepare the operating room and position patients for procedures.
• Serve as a communication liaison between family and the operating team.
• Participate in assigned call schedules.
• Assist in supply and equipment control and maintenance.
• Perform circulating duties efficiently.
• Demonstrate professional growth through goal setting and educational participation.
• Utilize computer programs relevant to patient care delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Certification in Central Service Technician (CRCST) or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
