Registered Nurse - Psychiatry (Adolescent Unit)

Location: Westbrook, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Day/Evening
Hours per Week: 36 hours (including weekends)
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Potentially

Unit Information

Unit: Adolescent Psychiatric Unit
Number of Beds: 6
Patient Ratio: 3 patients to 5 staff
Patient Types: Thought disordered, psychotic, personality disorder, manic
Environment: Business casual dress code (no ripped jeans, shorts, t-shirts or sweatshirts with logos, or open-toed shoes)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with adult psychiatric patients
Respiratory Fit Protection Form
Demonstrated de-escalation skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure
Professional demeanor

Additional Information

Additional RN coverage needed on night shifts due to hiring challenges
Weekend hours required (36 hours/week)
