Job Opportunity: Rad Tech - Interventional Radiology
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Department: Interventional Radiology
- Beds: 2 single plane (GE) rooms, 2 biplane (Philips) rooms
- Staffing:
- 15 techs plus manager and Data/Quality Analyst
- Nursing support assigned per room
- Day Shift: 2 techs and 1 nurse per room
- Night Shift: 1 tech and 1 RN onsite
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: GE single plane, Philips biplane, and one Invasive CT scanner
- EMR System: Cerner (Radnet)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
- Moderate sedation experience
- Cath Lab Technologist experience
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Skills
- Vascular OR experience
- Cath Lab experience
- VI Registered

- Dialysis work (Permcaths, fistulagrams)
- Nephrostomy tubes
- Arteriograms/embolizations
- Y-90 treatments
- G-tube placements
- TIPS procedures
- Inari cases
- Cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines
- Mechanical thrombectomies
- Vertebroplasties
Work Schedule & Environment
- Hours per week: 36
- Weekend Rotation: Every 7th weekend
- On-call: One night secondary call during the week
- Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs
