Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location
- Farmington, New Mexico
- Level III Trauma Center with 48 beds (flex space)
- Patient population includes ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, Psychiatric cases
- Emergency Department patient ratios: 4:1 in Main ED, 6:1 in Fast Track
- Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, Ultrasound Guided IV
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Minimum two weekends scheduled per contract
- No call requirements
- Team nursing and Pod System model
- Social Worker assigned to department
- Unit Educator available
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications from the American Heart Association: ACLS, PALS, BLS
- TNCC certification
- Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation

- ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease)
- Substance Abuse Disorders
- Psychological Disorders
- COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
- CHF (Congestive Heart Failure)
- Abdominal Pain
- Chest Pain

- Patient care supported by a social worker and unit educator
- Emergency Department is part of a hospital serving the Four Corners region (New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah)
