Respiratory Therapist - West Valley, Utah
Job Details
- Location: West Valley, Utah (Salt Lake City area)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- On-call: Ability to provide on-call coverage outside of scheduled hours (6pm-6am; every other weekend)
- Orientation: Week of orientation requires being in-state, even if some modules are remote
- Work Hours: May include standard shifts, flexible hours before/after shifts, and possible overtime exceeding 40 hours per week
Job Description
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and revise therapy plans as needed
- Conduct diagnostic testing including arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), EKGs, cardiac monitoring, bronchoscopy assistance, and pulse oximetry
- Transport patients within the hospital or between facilities
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP)
- Current certification as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
- Valid driver’s license required

- This position may require working alone as the only respiratory therapist on site at times
- Radius for travel or commute consideration: 60 miles
