Description
Operating Room RN - Contract Position
Location: Sidney, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts) with rotating on-call coverage
Hours per Week: 36
Position Summary
Seeking an Operating Room RN to provide perioperative nursing care including pre-op, intraoperative (OR), and post-anesthesia care (PACU) for both pediatric and adult patients. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating surgical patient care. The role involves OR circulating duties and on-call PACU coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Montana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
Additional Information
- Experience with pediatric and adult surgical patients required
- On-call responsibilities included
- Specialty certifications such as CPI, ENPC, RNFA, TNCC, AWHONN, STABLE, ASLS, NBSTSA, APHON, CMA, CCMA, RMA, C-EFM are noted but not mandatory
Key Responsibilities
- Circulating nurse duties in the Operating Room
- Provide post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) coverage, including pediatric patients
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure positive surgical outcomes
