Description
Temp Sonographer - Echo (Days)
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (8 hours per day)
Job Overview
- Provide professional and clinical sonography services as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May float within the sonography discipline across local campuses.
- Perform approximately 7-8 scans per day.
- Focus on solid echocardiography skills; full cardiovascular skill set not required.
- Use EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Required to work 36-40 hours per week; overtime applies after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Experience as a Vascular Sonographer.
- Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
- Certification from ARDMS or CCI.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
Additional Information
- Orientation scheduled for May 26–27 and June 8–9.
- Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months are preferred.
- Call back and on-call shifts may be required with additional compensation.
This position is ideal for sonographers with solid echocardiography skills seeking a temporary assignment in a hospital setting with a focus on cardiovascular and vascular sonography.
