Description
Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Days (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Circulate cases in the cardiac catheterization lab, including left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), cardioversions, peripheral procedures, and other cardiac interventions.
- Responsible for moderate sedation, medication preparation and administration.
- Monitor patients during procedures and assist with cleaning and stocking the lab.
- Call required with a minimum of 15 call days during the assignment.
- Floating required as needed, typically to serve as sitters.
- Holidays required to work; no holidays will be considered for time off.
- Patient ratio is 1:1.
- Use of electronic medical records including Xper, MedHost, and PACS.
- Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

- 48-hour grace hours (GHs) are not approved.
- Blocked schedules are not approved.
