Description
ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Martin, Tennessee
Position Overview
- Work in a busy 6-bed Medical ICU within a 100-bed hospital.
- Care for adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac needs, as well as pediatric patients with medical needs.
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Floating to other units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience working with adult and pediatric patients.
- Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours.
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; updated annually.
- Employment eligibility verification (I-9/E-Verify) required.
- Physical exam within one year attesting ability to meet physical demands.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year; annual TB questionnaire required.
- N95 fit test within one year, updated annually (no PAPR allowed).
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for measles, mumps, rubella (boosters if low/equivocal titers)
- Hepatitis B titer or series (booster or declination form if low titer)
- 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer (booster if low/equivocal titers)
- Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (no exemptions accepted)
- COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption prior to start
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Completed employment application/resume.
- Skills checklist as applicable to specialty.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must pass an Epic test-out exam; one attempt only. Facility allows starting with Epic pending but requires completion onsite.
- Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
- Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers.
