Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Colorado Springs, CO
Job Details
- Specialty: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
- Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 12 hours per day, approximately 36 hours per week
- Call Requirements: Approximately 120 hours per contract, shared in rotation with staff; call response time is 30 minutes
- Scheduling: Block shifts available (06:30-19:00, 09:00-21:30, or night shift 21:00-07:00)
- Orientation: Unit/department-specific orientation required; scheduled Friday-Sunday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Floating: May be required to float within a designated zone only in extreme need situations
- Dress Code: Scrubs provided
Unit Information
- 16 operating suites
- Average of 30 cases per day
- Common case types: General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedics, Robotics
- Electronic Medical Record system: Epic
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
- Must have trauma and neuro experience
- Scrubbing skills preferred but not required
- Charge nurse experience preferred (charge nurse or house supervisor will be on shift)
- Valid driver’s license required (for radius compliance within 60 miles)
- Must be in-state for orientation week (even if some modules are remote)
Additional Notes
- Hiring process includes profile review and interview with unit manager
- Call coverage may include weekends and holidays (4th of July preferred)
