Surgical Technician - West Burlington, Iowa
Job Type
- Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Shift: Days, 07:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide intra-operative care to patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedures.
- Assist in operations under supervision of physicians, registered nurses, and surgical personnel.
- Maintain and create sterile field during surgeries.
- Prepare operating room by collecting supplies and equipment.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons within the sterile field.
- Surgical specialties include ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology, and Endoscopy.
- Additional call hours required.
- Recent Epic experience (within last 12 months) is required.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Surgical Technician experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience with Epic.
