Description
Job Title
Ultrasound Technologist (2-5 years experience) – Contract
Location
New York, NY
Job Summary
Perform and assist in ultrasound examinations, provide technical support to Radiologists, and maintain ultrasound equipment. Prepare patients, operate and adjust ultrasound machines, ensure safety precautions, and manage supplies. Capture and transfer images to physicians. Assist in orienting and mentoring new ultrasound staff. Additional administrative duties include scheduling and communication.

- Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Hours per day: 7
- Hours per week: 34.5
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience specifically in prostate ultrasound scans
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active professional license relevant to Ultrasound Technologist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion
Additional Information
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices
- Ability to mentor and orient new ultrasound personnel
