Description
Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 6 suites/labs.
- Average 10 to 15 cases per day.
- Duties include scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating.
- Use of EPIC, PACS, and McKesson cardiology systems.
- Cardiologists are on call 24/7.
- Shifts are 9-10 hours with rotating weekends, holidays, and weekly on-call rotation (8-9 call shifts per month).
- Call response time is 30 minutes from page.
- No floating required.
- Scrubs provided by hospital.
- Orientation lasts 3 to 5 days, with 12 non-billable orientation hours.
- Mandatory call list used if staff cannot fulfill call shifts.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT
- BLS
- IEMA
Experience Requirements
- Cath Lab Radiology Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Previous cath lab experience
- Cath Lab Technologist experience
Scheduling & Work Hours
- 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week (40 hours/week).
- Rotating weekends, holidays, and weekly on-call shifts.
- Call shifts require availability approximately 8-9 times per month.
Additional Information
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius.
- Drug-free workplace; negative drug screen required for all panels.
- Call off policy allows 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty.
This position is ideal for a Cath Lab Technologist with solid cardiac cath experience seeking a local contract with structured call responsibilities and a supportive orientation period.
