Position Summary

Seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician with experience in complex cardiac surgical cases. The role involves working primarily in Surgical Services with occasional float to Main OR for Vascular and Thoracic cases.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (4 days of 10-hour shifts per week)
• On-call: 6-13 shifts within a 4-week period, including weekends and holidays
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Virginia (temporary license acceptable while VA license is pending)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Proficient in scrubbing independently on complex cardiac cases
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system
• Certifications:

  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • NBSTSA Certification

Job Responsibilities

• Support surgical services in the CVOR
• Float to Main OR for Vascular and Thoracic cases as needed
• Participate in on-call rotations including weekends and holidays

Unit Information

• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Unit beds: 2
• Equipment used: ECMO, IABP, Maze Ablation devices
• EMR system: Epic

Dress Code

• Scrub color: Ciel
• Attire must comply with facility dress code policy
