Description

Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Travel Position

Location

  • Portland, Maine

Job Type

  • Travel assignment
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Rotating day shifts including weekends
  • 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Overnight call 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-3 nights per month (with cardiologist approval)
  • Total 40 hours per week

Work Environment

  • Busy inpatient echocardiography lab in a tertiary care hospital with Level I trauma center
  • High-volume workload: 7-8 echocardiograms per day
  • Fast-paced, critical care setting

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac sonographer experience
  • Experience in an inpatient setting
  • Adherence to ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) standards

Additional Notes

  • Position requires adherence to strict call guidelines with cardiologist approval for call-ins
  • Collaborative work culture with sonographers, cardiologists, and fellows
