Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR

Location: Mason City, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 - 15:30
Schedule: Every 3rd weekend; On-call 10-12 days per month including holiday rotation


Job Description

  • Requires Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience.
  • On-call responsibilities approximately 10-12 days per month.
  • Holiday rotation included.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license valid in Iowa.
  • Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
  • Fit test for respiratory protection.
  • Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (within last year).
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
  • Immunizations and health requirements:
    • COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination (valid through October 2026).
    • MMR vaccination or immunity proof.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series completed.
    • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof.
    • Tdap vaccination (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction).
    • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) for TB screening.
  • Background and compliance checks (all must be current within 30 days of start):
    • Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years).
    • Social Security Number verification.
    • Education verification (highest level of academic education).
    • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, EPLS).
    • National Sex Offender Registry check.
    • Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registries check.
    • OFAC sanctions screening.
  • Completion of required professional forms and agreements prior to start:
    • Code of Conduct form.
    • Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement.
    • Integrity and Audit Services form.
    • Conflict of Interest Disclosure form.
    • Non-Employee Upload form.
    • System Access form.
  • Skills checklist and resume with professional references required.
  • Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year.
  • Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only).

Additional Information

  • Must attach scanned copies of all certifications and licenses with expiration dates.
  • All verifications and documentation must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
  • Drug screen must be signed by Medical Review Officer (MRO).
  • Flu vaccine is optional but recommended.
  • Specialty exam must be completed within the last year.
  • Physical/Health statement must be current and uploaded.
  • Fit test required for respiratory protection compliance.
