    Description

    Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

    Location: Santa Rosa, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    Hours per Week: 40


    Job Details

    • Start Date: ASAP
    • Scheduling: 4x10 block scheduling possible for the right candidate, must work Saturdays
    • Patient Load: Approximately 20 visits per day
    • Rooms/Beds: 2
    • Weekend Requirement: No
    • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days
    • First Time Traveler: Yes, with relevant experience
    • Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
    • Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
    • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

    Required Documentation & Background Checks

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
    • Social Security Card (as applicable)
    • E-Verify attestation
    • Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
    • Education verification (degree/diploma/transcript as applicable)
    • State-specific searches as required (e.g., Washington, Oregon)
    • References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps/overlaps
    • Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)

    Health & Safety Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required for travel candidates, updated annually
    • Immunizations and/or documentation:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years, declination accepted)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer, declination accepted
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (specific rules for Alaska placements)
      • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer, declination accepted
      • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
      • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention policies
    • Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)

    Training & Compliance

    • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp) as required
    • EPIC training modules completion required within a week of orientation (if applicable)
    • Respiratory safety clearance questionnaire and medical clearance annually for respirator use

    Additional Notes

    • Float policy acknowledgment may be required; candidate may be asked to float to nearby facilities
    • Radiation badge issued by facility if applicable
    • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
    • No pending license accepted; must have active California license before start
    • No billable orientation hours required (0 hours NBO vs. standard 40)

    This position is ideal for Mammography Techs with at least 1 year of experience, holding a valid California license, and who are open to travel assignments with flexible scheduling including Saturdays.
